in times long past? This site sets the story straight with amusing and
fact-filled articles that offer a new twist on the old names, dates and places
of history.
The International Shark Attack File
is a compilation
of all known shark attacks—and more. It provides lots of information about how,
why and where sharks are most likely to perceive you as a canape. More than
3,200 individual investigations are in the File, covering the period from
mid-1500's to the present. The site is administered by the Florida Museum of
Natural History and the American Elasmobranch Society, a professional
organization of international workers studying sharks, skates and rays.
According to the site, Florida, with 439 shark attacks since 1670, leads all
states, and California, with 110, is second. You might be surprised to learn
that Texas has recorded more shark attacks than New Jersey (26 to 16) but New
Jersey has logged more fatalities (5 to 3).

state's lemon statutes are. In addition, it outlines the steps necessary to rid
