Mergers and Acquisitions in 1991

Editors' note: The following is a partial list of mergers and acquisitions that occurred this year. "(D)" denotes a distributorship. All others are manufacturing firms unless otherwise noted.

Admore Inc., a Mt. Clemens, Mich., manufacturer of presentation folders, was acquired by Ennis Business Forms Inc., Ennis, Texas.

American Labelmark Company, Chicago, merged with Moss Printing Company of Chicago. Moss relocated to American Labelmark's facilities.

Avery Dennison, Pasadena, Calif., sold its industrial tag business to Allen-Bailey Tag and Label, Caledonia, N.Y.

Data Trends (D), Williamsport, Pa., was sold to Forms Plus (D), Scranton, Pa.

Dennison Stationery Products Company, a subsidiary of Avery Dennison sold its clipboard and related hardboard products business to Saunders Manufacturing & Marketing, Winthrop, Maine.

Didde Corp., an Emporia, Kan., press manufacturer, acquired the Edelmann Verwaltungs GmbH, Edelmann KG and Form All GmbH companies of Beerfelden, Germany, which design, distribute and manufacture narrow-web offset presses.

Dunbar-Wolfe Printing Company, Randolph, Mass., was purchased by PSI Group Inc. (D), New York.

Esselte Meto International, a supplier of retail equipment and supplies, acquired Kimball TI Europe from Midway Holding.

IBM Canada Ltd. sold its manufacturing equipment for data processing paper and the assets and supply business to Data Business Forms Ltd., Brampton, Ontario, a subsidiary of Maclean Hunter Ltd.

Kim Kraft West, Stockton, Calif., a division of Kim Kraft Inc., Erie, Pa., was sold to Block Graphics Inc., Portland, Ore.

Master-Craft, a one-write manufacturer, was purchased by Wilmer Service Line, a unit of Reynolds and Reynolds, Dayton, Ohio.

MGI Industries Inc., New York, and its subsidiary Colorforms, was bought by Wallace, a Hillside, Ill., non-independent.

Multiforms, Fairfield, Conn., was purchased by Cincinnati-based Miami Systems.

Origami Inc. (D), Carollton, Texas, closed and sold some of its assets to Precept Inc. (D), Dallas.

Palfrey-Rodd-Pursell Co. Ltd.'s wholesale forms manufacturing operations (New Orleans) were purchased by Poser Business Forms Inc., Fairhope, Ala.

Rittenhouse, Park Ridge, Ill., bought the business machine roll operations of Custom Paper Limited in eastern Canada.

U.S.E. Foils, Lenexa, Kan., and Markem Corporation of Keene, N.H., combined their hot stamping foil operations. The new firm is known as ASTOR UNIVERSAL.

Wright Business Forms' production equipment and order records for peel-back and insert mailer products were purchased by Transkrit Corporation, Brewster, N.Y.
