Koch Industries to Acquire Georgia-Pacific <http://www.GP.com> Georgia-Pacific Corp. and
<http://www.Kochind.com> Koch
Industries Inc. reached a definitive agreement for Koch Forest Products Inc. to
make a $48 per share cash tender offer for all Georgia-Pacific shares.
Koch said that Georgia-Pacific will operate as a privately held, wholly-owned
subsidiary of Koch Industries. Georgia-Pacific will continue to do business
under the Georgia-Pacific name and operate its businesses from its Atlanta
headquarters as an independently managed company. Included in the transaction
are assets of Georgia-Pacific, including its North American and international
consumer products segments, as well as its building products, packaging, and

story reported that leaders of Georgia-Pacific and Koch Industries say their
similar corporate cultures are a major reason they anticipate success for their
proposed $13.2 billion combination. Koch has begun instructing 80

and product fulfillment. Trout Unlimited is a trout and salmon conservation
non-profit organization with more than 150,000 members. It was impressed that

Excellence" certification from Purdue University's Benchmark Portal, the company
said.

announced the results for its third quarter ended Oct. 29. Total company sales
grew to $4.25 billion, an increase of 11 percent over the same quarter last
year. Net income rose 14 percent year-over-year to $238 million, and earnings

Sonoco to Close Packaging Printing Plant <http://www.sonoco.com> Sonoco announced that
it will close its flexible packaging printing plant in Charlotte, N.C., as part
of the company's previously announced cost-reduction plans. It will close the
plant by the end of the first quarter of 2006. The operation employs 67 workers
and primarily prints flexographic images on packaging film. Sonoco will offer
outplacement assistance to employees.
Relizon Opens State-of-the-Art Center <http://www.relizon.com/> Relizon unveiled
its Relizon Idea Center, a 300,000-square-foot facility near Columbus, Ohio,
that showcases the latest techniques and best practices in outsourced marketing
services. The center features the latest equipment for digital document

Presses. It also uses four Xerox DocuTech 6180 Production Publisher
black-and-white devices.
