Business Plans

We currently do not have samples of actual plans in the Solution Center, however several DMIA distributors highly recommend “Business Plan Pro” by Palo Alto Software. One member said: "It is a very comprehensive package, includes not only the verbiage, but also the spread-sheets to prove that your goals and numbers will work. They also have sample plans on-line. If you're serious about a good business plan, it will be the best $100 you ever spent. I have been using the software for over 5 years, and have been extremely pleased." Palo Alto Software's web site is at http://www.paloaltosoftware.com/ps/.

  • Help from DMIA's Distributor Networking Database

Here are instructions on using the Distributor Networking Database to find distributors who have answered yes to any of the questions below:

#18 – Do your salespeople sign non-compete agreements?

#19 – Do other employees (besides salespeople) sign non-compete or non-disclosure agreements?

    #20 – Have you ever won a lawsuit involving a non-compete agreement?

    #21 – Have you ever lost a lawsuit involving a non-compete agreement?

    1. Click on Distributor Networking Search.

    2. Click on "Search all 101 Questions" to view every question in the database, or click on the "Non-Compete Agreement" button and "Search by Topic." This loads all of the questions about non-compete agreements from the Networking survey.

    3. When you click on the box next to a question, a check mark appears. Click on the "Submit Search" button to find a list of everyone in the database who answered "yes" to that question. If you click on multiple questions, you'll get "hits" only from those who answered yes to all of the boxes you selected. You may search among distributor companies of a particular size by clicking on one or more sales volume category buttons. To remove a check mark from a box, click on it again.

    4. The responses show you the company name, size, city and state, email address and phone number. By clicking on the company name, you can see the company's address, contact name, fax and toll-free numbers, web address and email address.
