Clemson and Cal Poly are excited to be research partners with PERF, and look forward to working with you. Under our direction the surveys are developed, executed and tabulated by our top students. The students are excited about this project and very appreciative of a welcome interview and phone time with distributors and print buyers. We understand that your time is valuable, but if you receive a call from a Clemson or Cal Poly student over the next few months, please try to make the time, or tell them when they can call back so you can work with them. We know that your time is a valuable resource; it can only be used once. The students respect and appreciate your efforts.

As the students continue to gather information, a future effort will be the distribution of the objective-based survey that will be able to statistically report the results with confidence and without bias. The students are meeting on a regular basis with their instructors and have developed a plan for the entire semester to offer their time to the project in exchange for the opportunity to speak firsthand with print buyers working in the industry. Please give them the assistance they need to make this a worthy project for the industry and for their classmates.

As the supervising faculty members, we thank you for the opportunity to work with PERF. Please feel free to forward suggestions for improvement to DMIA. We will take each suggestion very seriously.
