I Acknowledge that I have an Obligation ...

To the business community; therefore, I shall promote the understanding of sound business documents and information systems design and shall constantly strive to maintain and improve industry standards.

To the public-at-large; therefore, I shall actively cooperate with other professionals to promote the understanding of business documents and systems and their role in the execution of business functions. Further, I shall strive to create and enhance a public image of a profession that recognizes only standards of the highest order.

To fellow Certified Document Consultants (CDCs); therefore, I shall be loyal to my fellow CDCs and willingly share the lessons of my experience. Further, I shall not use knowledge of a confidential nature pertaining to the business of a fellow CDC to advance my personal interest.

To fellow professionals; therefore, I shall uphold the highest standards of business ethics and shall adhere to a policy of truth in business interchange.

Accepting these obligations as a personal responsibility, I pledge observance and furtherance of the letter and spirit of a Certified Document Consultants' Code of Ethics as set forth above.
